BOOGIE KNIGHTS, SPAZMATICS TAKING THE STAGE AT CHUMASH CASINO RESORT’S NEW YEAR’S EVE DISCO BOOGIE BALL
SANTA YNEZ, CA – December 23, 2022 – The acclaimed 1970s disco revival cover band, The Boogie Knights, and the ultimate ‘80s new wave cover band, The Spazmatics, return to the Chumash Casino Resort, ready to remind you of your New Year’s Eve parties from yesteryear. The “New Year’s Eve Disco Boogie Ball,” will take place in the resort’s Samala Showroom, beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 31. General admission tickets for the event are $50.
The Boogie Knights were originally formed in 1992 as a Halloween gag in Los Angeles. Almost overnight, the group took the live music scene by storm. Complete with choreography, polyester and ‘70s hairdos, The Boogie Knights are heralded as "The greatest disco revival show in the world." Over the span of 30 years, the band has built a worldwide reputation, performing on various MTV programs, network television shows, film, major sporting events and live shows across the country and overseas. Be prepared to get down and shake your stuff as The Boogie Knights play the hits from Heatwave, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, The Bee Gees, Kool and the Gang, the Village People, Rick James, Earth, Wind and Fire and many more.
When The Spazmatics take the stage, all the awesome sounds, styles and way cool dance steps we'd love to forget from the ‘80s will be in full effect. Complete with skinny ties, Brylecreem hair and horn-rimmed glasses, The Spazmatics recapture all the best of the worst of this outrageous decade. The band specializes in music from new wave favorites like Duran Duran, Men at Work, The Knack, Thomas Dolby, Men Without Hats, Berlin, The Cure and Devo, among others.
