John Elliott joined Chumash Enterprises as Chief Executive Officer in January 2020. As CEO, John is responsible for managing the overall operations and resources for the Chumash-owned entities and serves a dual focus on both tribal economic development and gaming operations.
Hema Mohan
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Hema joined Chumash Enterprises as Chief Financial Officer in May 2023. As CFO, Hema is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial activities including finance and accounting shared service professionals across the business units consisting of Tribal Government Operations, Tribal Health Clinic, Chumash Casino Resort, and Chumash Capital Investments.
Dan Nogal
Chief Human Resources Officer
Dan Nogal joined Chumash Enterprises in 2020, beginning in the position of Director of Human Resources and currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer. He is responsible for supporting business needs through strategic and tactical leadership.
John Ormond
Chief Information Technology Officer
John Ormond has been with Chumash Enterprises since 2002, beginning as an IT Technician. As Chief Information Technology Officer, John provides visionary tech leadership and strategic contributions to operational and financial objectives across Chumash Enterprises.
Bill Peters
Chief Operations Officer
Bill Peters has been with the Chumash Casino Resort since it first opened in 1994. As Chief Operations Officer, Bill responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Chumash Casino Resort, development and execution of the resort’s strategic and operational plans, designing and implementing new business strategies, and working collaboratively with leadership to ensure the success of the organization.
Veronica Sandoval
Chief Tribal Operations & Communications Officer
Veronica Sandoval has more than 28 years of experience working for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians and is currently serving as the Chief Tribal Operations & Communications Officer. Veronica’s responsibilities include oversight of public relations, internal communications and all tribal government functions and programs.
