GRAMMY AWARD WINNER ALAN PARSONS TO PERFORM AT CHUMASH CASINO RESORT

SANTA YNEZ, CA – May 28, 2024 – Legendary music producer and Grammy Award winner Alan Parsons returns to the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024. Tickets for the show are $49, $59, $69, $74 and $79.  

As an audio engineer, songwriter, musician and record producer, Parsons has a remarkable career spanning several decades. Beginning as an assistant engineer in 1969 for Abbey Road Studios, he worked on iconic albums such as The Beatles’ “Abbey Road” and “Let It Be.” His involvement with Pink Floyd’s classic “The Dark Side of the Moon” brought him worldwide recognition, leading him to create The Alan Parsons Project (APP) alongside producer and songwriter, Eric Woolfson.  

The band’s debut album, “Tales of Mystery and Imagination,” began Parsons’ successful musical career, leading to both APP and his subsequent solo recordings gaining commercial recognition. With timeless classics, like “Eye in the Sky” and “I Wouldn’t Want to Be Like You,” he earned 13 Grammy Award nominations, with his first win in 2019 for “Best Immersive Audio Album.” His other notable awards include The Les Paul Award in 1995 and The Diva Hall Of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award in Munich, Germany in June 2012. 

Parsons, a Santa Barbara resident, is also passionate about giving back to the community. During his 2018 concert at the Chumash Casino Resort, he announced that he would donate all proceeds from his show to benefit first responders and local organizations serving Santa Barbara’s flood victims in the post-Thomas Fire debris flow.
