R&B GROUP EN VOGUE TO PERFORM AT CHUMASH CASINO RESORT
SANTA YNEZ, CA – October 14, 2024 – En Vogue, the female R&B group best known for hits such as “Hold On” and “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” will bring their powerful vocals to the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024. En Vogue, which currently features founding members Cindy Herron and Terry Ellis, along with Rhona Bennett, are recognized as one of the top-selling American female music groups in history with over 20 million albums sold to date. The group has received seven Grammy nominations, won two American Music Awards, three Soul Train Awards and seven MTV Video Music Awards. They are the first and only female group to be awarded the Sammy Davis Jr. Award for Entertainer of the Year in 1993.
Formed in 1989, En Vogue reached No. 2 on the U.S. Hot 100 chart with the single “Hold On,” taken from their 1990 debut album, “Born to Sing.” The group’s 1992 follow-up album, “Funky Divas,” reached the top 10 on both the U.S. and UK charts, and included hits like “Giving Him Something He Can Feel” and “Free Your Mind.” The album went on to sell more than 5 million copies, won an American Music Award for “Favorite Soul/R&B Album,” and was nominated for five Grammy Awards.
