ROCK ICON RICK SPRINGFIELD TO PERFORM AT CHUMASH CASINO RESORT
SANTA YNEZ, CA – July 16, 2026 – Known for his 1981 hit, “Jessie’s Girl,” Australian-American singer, songwriter, and actor Rick Springfield will bring a live performance to the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 31. Tickets for the show are $65, $70 and $80.
Launching his solo music career in 1972, Springfield’s debut hit single, “Speak to the Sky,” reached the Top 10 in Australia and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. His breakthrough album, “Working Class Dog,” was released in 1981 and featured songs like “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Is Alright Tonight,” and “Jessie’s Girl,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned him the 1982 Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. His follow-up album, "Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet," was released in 1982 and produced multiple hits, including "Don't Talk to Strangers," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Aside from music, Springfield is also widely recognized for his acting role as Dr. Noah Drake on the hit television series, “General Hospital,” starting in 1981. In 1984, he went on to star in the film, “Hard to Hold,” and later headlined the series, “High Tide,” from 1994 to 1997. He has since appeared in a range of television and film projects, including “Californication,” “True Detective,” and “Ricki and the Flash,” further demonstrating his versatility across both music and screen.
Springfield won an American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist in 1983 and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014 for his contributions to the recording industry.
