THE BEACH BOYS TO PERFORM AT CHUMASH CASINO RESORT

SANTA YNEZ, CA – November 19, 2024 – The Beach Boys, the iconic American rock/pop band of the 1960s, make their return to the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom with their “Endless Summer Gold” tour on Friday, November 22. Tickets for the concert are $69, $79, $94, $124 and $130.

The Beach Boys have continued to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut over 60 years ago. The current lineup is led by Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer, continue the legacy of the iconic group.

Formed in 1961, The Beach Boys were originally composed of teenage brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and their friend Al Jardine. Their neighbor David Marks joined for one year in 1962, the same year the band signed with Capital Records and released their first album, “Surfin’ Safari.” The album spent 37 weeks on the Billboard chart, launching the young group to international stardom. In 1965, Johnston joined the band following Brian Wilson’s retirement from touring to prioritize writing and producing for the group. Under Wilson’s musical leadership, the band’s initial surf-rock focus was soon broadened to include many other themes, helping make The Beach Boys one of America’s greatest bands of the 1960s.

With over 100 million records sold worldwide, the band received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 and has had several of their works inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, including “Good Vibrations” (1994), “Pet Sounds” (1998), and “California Girls” (2009). They were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1998, and the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2007.

Maintaining the Billboard/Nielson SoundScan’s record as the top-selling American band for both albums and singles, The Beach Boys are the American group with the most Billboard Top 40 chart hits (36). “Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys” achieved triple-Platinum sales status and “The Smile Sessions,” released worldwide in 2011, was named that year’s Reissue of the Year by Rolling Stone magazine.
