Veronica Sandoval
Chief Tribal Operations & Communications Officer
Veronica Sandoval has more than 28 years of experience working for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians and is currently serving as the Chief Tribal Operations & Communications Officer. Veronica’s responsibilities include oversight of public relations, internal communications and all tribal government functions and programs. She also oversees the tribe’s philanthropy, its culture, education and environment departments and the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum & Cultural Center. As a tribal community member and a prominent voice in the Santa Ynez Valley, she has long been active in both her tribal and local communities. Veronica has served on the College School District Board of Trustees and the Child Welfare Safety Net Task Force for Santa Barbara County, and currently serves on the board of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Santa Barbara County and People Helping People and is a member of the Santa Ynez Football Boosters.
