CHUMASH CASINO RESORT HOTEL, CORQUE HOTEL AND WILLOWS RECOGNIZED AS AAA FOUR DIAMOND-RATED PROPERTIES

SANTA YNEZ, CA — May 26, 2023 — The Chumash Casino Resort Hotel, Corque Hotel in Solvang and Willows, the tribe’s fine-dining restaurant at the Chumash Casino Resort, have once again been awarded with the special distinction of being recognized as AAA Four Diamond-rated properties.

The American Automobile Association (AAA), which evaluates and awards the designation to an exclusive class of hotels and restaurants across North America, inspects and approves properties for this annual distinction. AAA consistently awards this distinction to less than 10% of the hotels and restaurants that it inspects.

Chumash Casino Resort Hotel has received the award every year since it was first honored in 2004. Willows has earned the honor in consecutive years since 2005, and Corque Hotel’s run of awards began in 2011.

“Our tribe is proud to be recognized once again for the fine hospitality and accommodations our guests experience at our hotels and restaurant,” said Kenneth Kahn, Tribal Chairman of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. “This is a testament to the strong leadership and talented Team Members who consistently provide a memorable experience for our guests. It’s an honor to achieve these AAA Four Diamond ratings.”

For this year’s 2023 list, the Chumash Casino Resort Hotel and Corque Hotel were part of just 6.5% of hotels inspected by AAA to earn the Four Diamond-rated designation. AAA notes that the hotels in this elite group have “upscale style and amenities enhanced with the right touch of service.”

The Chumash Casino Resort Hotel features a 135-foot tower, 320 newly renovated rooms, including over 50 suites, a full-service spa and a rooftop pool deck that spans 15,000 square feet. Corque Hotel in Solvang offers 122 rooms, including 17 suites. The two hotels are among only a handful of properties within the Santa Ynez Valley that are consistently featured on the annual list of award recipients.

Specializing in prime steaks and seafood with an extensive wine list, Willows is one of just two restaurants in Santa Ynez to receive AAA Four Diamond status this year, and one of just a handful in Santa Barbara County. Just 2.3 percent of AAA inspected and approved restaurants earned the award on the 2023 list. AAA notes that this special group of restaurants have “distinctive fine-dining, well-served amid upscale ambience.” Willows is located on the third floor of the Chumash Casino Resort and is open daily from 5-10 p.m. For reservations, call 805-686-0855 or visit www.chumashcasino.com/dining/willows.

For more than 80 years, AAA has used professional inspectors to conduct unscheduled annual in-person property inspections, that include a detailed look at a property’s quality, cleanliness and condition. Diamond inspections are conducted by trained experts who evaluate the guest experience with consistent, objective criteria. AAA offers the only rating system using comprehensive, on-site professional hotel and restaurant evaluations guided by member priorities. With a far greater inventory than any other rating entity, AAA’s rating system covers the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Located on Highway 246 in Santa Ynez, California, the Chumash Casino Resort and Willows is owned and operated by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. The tribe also owns Corque Hotel and The Hadsten in Solvang and a gas station in Santa Ynez. As the largest employer in the Santa Ynez Valley, the tribe employs more than 1,800 residents of Santa Barbara County.
