COMEDIANS JEFF ROSS, DAVE ATTELL BRING ‘BUMPING MICS’ TO CHUMASH CASINO RESORT

SANTA YNEZ, CA – June 1, 2023 – Headlining comedians Jeff Ross and Dave Attell will join forces for a special, one-night-only “Bumping Mics” show at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 23 at the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom. Tickets for the show are $49, $54, $59, $69 and $79.

“Bumping Mics” is in reference to the three-episode Netflix series by the same name that featured the two comics in 2018. The series showcased the spit-fire banter between the two unfiltered stand-ups while including various celebrity guests. These two longtime friends and masters of improvisation are known for hilariously roasting each other, as well as audience members, during a show filled with social commentary, personal stories and their brand of good-natured ribbing.

Ross was born and raised in New Jersey and began performing stand-up in 1989 after attending a comedy class. He appeared on A&E’s “An Evening at the Improv” in 1994. By 1995, he was performing at renowned New York clubs, such as the Comedy Cellar and Stand Up NY. That same year Ross became a regular at the Friars Club roasts where he earned his famous title, “The Roastmaster General.” In 2003, Comedy Central began producing its own celebrity roasts. Ross has been a roaster at all Comedy Central roasts since 2005. In 2016, he started his own show, “Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle.” Roasting has become a mainstay in popular culture and launched the art of roasting into the public eye, ultimately starting a movement.

Attell, who was born in Queens and raised in Long Island, N.Y., dipped into stand-up comedy in the late 1980s. He worked his way through the open mic circuit, eventually moving his act on the road, touring across America. Attell developed a huge following from fans and the industry alike. He was named one of the “25 Funniest People in America” by Entertainment Weekly Magazine. Attell’s material was described as “very adult,” and earned him the reputation as a “comic’s comic.” In 2001, he created and hosted the hit series “Insomniac with Dave Attell” for Comedy Central. He has made numerous appearances on the late-night talk-show circuit, films and television shows.

Attell and Ross have joined comedic forces to bring colorful wit and unfiltered dialogue to the Samala Showroom stage for one night only. Don’t miss an opportunity to see these popular comedians perform live in one of the most popular entertainment venues in Santa Barbara County.

Located on Highway 246 in Santa Ynez, California, the Chumash Casino Resort is an age 21-and-older venue. Tickets for all events are available at The CLUB at Chumash or online at www.chumashcasino.com.
