COMEDIAN AND COUNTRY SINGER RODNEY CARRINGTON TO PERFORM AT CHUMASH CASINO RESORT

SANTA YNEZ, CA – July 29, 2022 – Multi-talented comedian, actor and country music singer Rodney Carrington brings his “Let me in!” U.S. tour to the Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Friday, August 12 at the Chumash Casino Resort. Tickets for the show are $39, $44, $49, $54 and $59.

            A platinum-selling recording artist, Carrington has recorded eight major record label comedy albums, followed by three albums on his own record label, Laughter's Good Records.

With his comedy act typically combining stand-up comedy and original songs, Carrington broke through with his major label comedy CD debut “Hangin' With Rodney” in 1998. The next few years saw nine more Top 10 comedy albums, including “Live,” “Greatest Hits,” “King of the Mountains,” “El Nino Loco,” “Laughter's Good,” and “The Hits,” all of which continue to receive radio airplay and regularly place on the national comedy charts. “Hangin' With Rodney” earned RIAA gold record certification, and his “Greatest Hits” album reached platinum status. In 2009, he also released the holiday album “Make it Christmas,” which features his original song “Camouflage and Christmas Lights," a tribute to the U.S. military.

In 2017, his album "Here Comes the Truth” had tens of millions of streams on Spotify, climbing to No. 3 on the comedy charts, and even spawned a Netflix special. In 2019, Carrington released his latest album, "Get em out," which hit No. 1 on iTunes.

Carrington has also enjoyed success in television and film. He starred in his own TV sitcom, “Rodney," which ran for two seasons on ABC, from 2004-2006. He co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film, “Beer for my Horses,” which won the Tex Ritter Award at the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM). He has also appeared on countless other TV shows, including the American Country Awards (ACA), hosted the American Country New Year's Eve Live in 2011 and won "Supporting Character of the Year” from the Country Music Television (CMT) Music Awards for his appearance on Trace Adkins' music video “I Got My Game On." In 2017, he starred in his own Netflix special "Here Comes the Truth.”
