GRAMMY WINNER CHRISTOPHER CROSS TO PERFORM AT CHUMASH CASINO RESORT
SANTA YNEZ, CA – August 26, 2022 – Christopher Cross, the 1980s yacht rock icon and five-time Grammy Award winner, brings his “40th Anniversary Tour” to the Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 at the Chumash Casino Resort. Tickets for the show are $39, $44, $49, $59 and $69.
Cross burst onto the music scene in 1980 with his self-titled debut album, making a splash with his single “Sailing,” which peaked at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. That same year, the album helped him win five prestigious Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. Over the course of his career, he has also earned an Oscar, a Golden Globe and an Emmy nomination.
Just a year later in 1981, Cross found success again with his hit single “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do),” which was the main theme song for the film “Arthur,” peaking at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and winning the Oscar for Best Original Song.
Cross is a multi-Platinum recording artist and has sold over 10 million albums. His other notable songs that had Billboard success include “Ride Like the Wind,” “Never Be the Same“ and “All Right.”
In recent years, Cross started his own record label in 2007 and has released eight albums since.
